Apple season Shooting glass – Hennessy

This weekend in Canada, we are celebrating Thanksgiving. I guess we’re a little keener than our American friends to the south when it comes to celebrating holidays – can’t wait till November.

Every year, the family gets together for a great meal – but hopefully not turkey! Maybe it’s just me, but turkey doesn’t get me excited.

So this year, I think I’m going to try a roasted pork rack – recently shot on a project. Looked delicious – food styled by Ruth Gangbar and prop styling by Laura Branson.

Enjoy the holiday weekend – and try something other than turkey, for me!

  1. I was impressed by the look of this meal…… we usually go over to the out-laws for Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinner. I’m not that bothered about the turkey (though my sister-in-law does a really nice one), but I haven’t worked out why Canadians always seem to want their vegetables mashed up. It’s not easy to distinguish between Turnip, Squash, Carrots and Sweet Potato when they sit in bowls with slightly different colours. So I’m going to give this one a try – bite-sized pieces of recognisable vegetables, baked in the oven, possibly underneath a roasting joint of pork….. or, for that matter, some good sausages…. or both!
